Since joining York Opera in 1999, I have had the privilege of singing as a chorus member alongside a talented and creative company of singers.  I have always enjoyed the Savoy Operas of Gilbert & Sullivan and was delighted when York Opera staged “The Mikado”, “The Sorcerer”, “The Gondoliers” and “Yeomen of the Guard” in addition to grand operas such as “Turnadot”, “Don Carlos”, “Hugh the Drover” and “The Magic Flute”. Christmas concerts and carol-singing are also included in the repertoire of York Opera.  Helping to construct and paint scenery for these productions has given an outlet form my artistic side.
